gimmicks (animated gifs and yellow under construction signs are so 1992!)
uncomprehensible pricing (we set out what we're going to charge you, and stick to it!)

Many design companies will charge by the hour, and then still put on monthly charges for upkeep of your website, and never do anything! We charge by the project, so you're clear on what you're going to get, and how much it will cost you.
